What a great gift.
Received my swap with cwolf69 (aka Charlie) today.
It now takes pride and place among my other keepers for all to see.
It is a Sedona, satin copper finish, made out of Weeping Willow, and a special emblem under C.A.
As for the blanks, well what can I say. They will make some great pens.
Thanks Charley.

Re: 2012 Australia Day Pen Swap - Draw etc
I reckon from the posts I have seen on the swap that the jnr gents, and clones, are my new favorite kit. There is so much you can do with them, and they are all so classy.

You're very welcome David! The wood on the Sierra is Locust burl. It came from a prestigious gold course in our area that I make pens for. If the first shipment ever arrives there is a locust blank in that box for you.

I am a little late on getting something posted so here goes. I was completely floored with the Pen I received from "Wood Hacker" or my "Brother from Down Under" as I like to call him. We were hooked up in an IAP swap a couple of years back and found out that we had the same last names. I found it odd that we both had some "First" with our swaps. I did something special with the pen blank that I did for him and he tried a new technique on the finish and second was the presentation box that the pen came in. He made a round box from Huon Pine and Gidgee end caps. The pen is a Roman Harvest in gold with Rhodium highlights dressed in Gidgee. Plenty of company in the box with some very nice blanks. Along with it all was a very nice note explaining the woods and his love hate relationship with some. I want to thank everyone involved in this swap and especially My "Brother from Down Under" Bruce for something that I will have in my collection for the rest of my life.
