OK Mr Impatient. I've spent 15 minutes trying to load up the forum page on this crappy Three connection to post an update, adn your messages comes through while I'm waiting!!
But anyway, Ed contacted me today. A couple of problems getting a few people's items, and they are still packing the order. One lot should be ready to go soon, the second package will be along a couple days later. I think we've overloaded them a little

OK well the first package is on its way, the second will be sent next week when the final bits and pieces are ready.
Oh I forget who it was just atm, but some of the Christmas clips are no longer available, so those will be crossed off the list. Sorry about that.

Hi All,
Sorry but I didn't track properly who said they were happy to combine their nib and exotic packages into one mailing. To save my sanity by trying to decompile this thread and my PM's, I'd like to assume the everyone who is in both buys (which is everyone except Amos) is happy to have them bundled together?
If you were in the nib buy a d want your nibs now, and the exotic stuff later, please reply and let me know. I'm still waiting fo rthe first exotic package to arrive, and have not heard from Ed or Dawn for over a week as to actually paying for their orde yet!

Well we seem to have a communication breakdown somewhere. I know Dawn at least is alive, as I've seen her tweeting, but I'm not getting any response to emails for 2 weeks now. Dawn, if you're alive out there and see this, let me know.

Well Dawn has been in contact, but still awaiting costings from Ed, and I still have yet to pay.
Meanwhile, the first package arrived today. I spent a smelly, drippy afternoon in the 35+ degree heat sorting what we have so far into people's orders. A couple are complete, but most, including the bigger ones, have bits missing. I'm trying to find out how far away the second package may be. Will keep you informed.
Certainly some nice looking gear in amongst everyone's stuff. Nick, you're sure going to have fun with all those blanks! You'd better start sharpening your tools now

Looking forward to it all Russell!
Just let me know as soon as you want some money. I can see you in the shed sorting it all out: "one for you, one for me, one for you, one for me...." and so on!
Cheers,
Nathan.

Thanks for the updates. It was a complex order, so I'm not suprised it's taking a bit to sort out.
*eagerly awaiting goodies*

Right,
So I just got an email from Ed with the spreadsheet of final prices (although in a format I can't read ). They have been awaiting arrival of the final items for the order, so have not sent the second box yet. This is likely to mean that the chances of everyone getting their packages before Christmas is slim. If anyone wants what I have already, I can send it off, but you'll be up for two lots of postage. I have to go weigh some of the bigger parcels too, but I think a couple of people are going to be over the 500g parcel size, and into the 3Kg size now as well.
If you're happy to get it when you can, as cheaply as possible, just sit tight and I'll keep you updated. If you want to change your arrangements, let me know. I'll finish getting ready the couple of orders that are completed and let those people know within the next day or two.

Paypal strikes again!
I hate the be the bearer of bad news, but it seems there's some "fees and charges" that may be involved in our transaction that I wasn't aware of until now. I'm trying to work with Ed to find ways to minimise. Means a couple more days delay paying while I re-arrange my finances.
Meanwhile I found out what caused the $$ to drop. Darn Dubai.I don't know if this means the dollar will continue to drop or not, so I think as soon as I have the payment organised, we'll have to jump in and complete the purchase. May mean we're looking at a couple % increase on the conversion costs though. The paypal exchange rate this morning was 88c, which means we're approaching our cost being 15% higher than the US price.
Stay tuned

What a pain, but no matter - a few % either way will only be a couple of dollars difference.
Thanks for organising it all...
