I have not had much shed time for the last few days but I did manage to knock this one out.
I also got a parcel from CarbetecWA today with pens and blanks for 20 pens, Thankyou.
Anybody know what Koto Ash is?
I also got some cheques in as well,
finished pens will start to be sent in a few weeks as I start to get some in and I have more time to make them, everything I have made so far is sold as fast as I can make them. Please be patient guys
We are now up to $955.00 raised so far, awesome effort that

You see my non lawyer friend, you did not read your brief before asking the question. I offered to purchase one pen a few posts earlier..... so 10+1=11

*G* trust a lawyer to know all the ins and outs. Boban I thought you would say in reply, "the extra is for outgoings"

When I worked at Wonderland as a schoolkid, we had groups of these kids come in. To say I loved being around them was an understatement. Thats probably the experience of most people I'd imagine given whats happening here. I'm hoping that we could knock over $10,000 as a group. I'm aiming at raising $1000 for my part and think that others will probably do the same.
Lets see if Im right.

Penturners Paradise
I got a PM the other day from Russell at Pen Turners Paradise asking if I would like any Dymondwood pen blanks for the fundraiser and some pen boxes, you know the answer to that question dont you.
Today he sent me another PM saying there on there way,but had got a bit carried away and there was a bit more sent than he had said ( Russell sounds like me ).
I havent had a play with dymonwood pen blanks before so look forward to getting them to have a play. Photos will be posted when I get them of course.
A big Thankyou to Pen Turners Paradise for there donation

I haven't looked there before, I wish that he had a few more pics of the pen kits. Some of the ones I hadn't heard of before.
I don't want to order without seeing the kits though...

Might I introduce to you the mighty "King Changa NRL tipping competition".
The box is made of maple and hoop pine ply. Finished with the usual wipe-on poly and ubeaut wax.
Let’s hope that the money will start coming in.
Wongo (who came second for the past 3 years and quite frankly he is sick of being second best. And surprise surprise the bastxxx who won the last 2 years just happened to be the one who kept the score. )Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com

Ian - Koto Ash (Pterygota Macrocarpa) comes from Ghana and is similar to Ramin or Silverash. We used to sell a lot of it for use as the blocks used to mount rubber stamps. Sometimes has a wavy grain pattern that reminds me of snake skin, comes up nicely with a oil finish or poly.

I was so close to having the whole database to myself.
