I'm not in a position to donate any woodwork at the moment but I will buy a pen or something depending what is offered.

If anyone around SE QLD wants to make something PM me as I have some jarrah, Fijian Mahogany and some Brazilian Cedar that I will donate for this cause!

Also Congrats to Carbatec WA for the offer of the pen kits!! Any other businesses going to get in behind this?
Have a nice day - Cheers

But I'd love to buy something that's being donated, be it pens or boxes, bowls ect. Going by the quality of work people around here are producing, maybe selecting a few of the best and having an auction here on the forum may raise some extra dollars. I just love a good bidding war and at times can get quite carried away, perhaps others suffer the same affliction.

Anyway, put me down to buy something when the time comes.

An auction on the forum sounds like a fantastic idea. Maybe a silent bid system for members only first. If items don't reach a reserve then you could ebay them.

I would definitely be up for purchasing some of the beautiful items I have seen posted here (including a pen).

    Good luck,
    Justine

Thumbs up Jim Carroll & the Blonde has donated.

I just would like to thank Jim & Irene from Carroll's Woodcraft Supplies for there very generous donation for the fund raiser of 100 pen kits

I have also purchased a few pen kits and some extra bits and pieces from them for the fund raiser and it looks like they have some nice pen kits that I have not seen before.

well worth a look at there site www.cws.au.com

    Cheers Ian

Where are all the pen turners
I know my timber is not as exciting as Al's but no one seems to want any of the blanks I have here.
Now that Jim Carroll has donated the kits they need to be used

If someone can help me with some nice timber, ( I have a little jarrah, but little else) I'd be happy to make a jewelry box. Quality will be the best I can muster, all faults will be a sign of the luvin' gone into it.
    Boring signature time again!

Hi, I'm late to this post too, but, how about some small photo albums?

I'm happy to make them, but will need help sourcing the inserts, posts and 12mm blanks.

If interested, I'll get more details together.

    thanks
    Wendy
