Got mine today to. Mind you it was hidden in the bottom of the letter box, so could have been there a while

That piece of mulberry is beautiful. Has colour, grain, even a few small knotts. Hmm, may need to re-think my plan to show it off.

Captive ring! Now who'd be so nasty as to introduce that for a theme?

(When's it my turn to donate blanks again? )

Thats ok Skew, when you mail out the blanks, don't forget to include a captive ring cutting tool for everyone with the blanks

    Hi Joash

So far for this month there are 19 people, as long as you keep the package to the same size that I sent you, you can get away with a $1 stamp, so it has cost me $19
    Cheers

I'll happily throw in a bent nail. I'm sure everyone out there has a spare stick to use for a handle.

I tried the bent nail trick yesterday .. got sidetracked when I went to the shed to feed the horses ... yeah but ... it didn't agree with me, couldn't seem to get it to play the game even on some soft pine. Looking for other options.

How did you sharpen it? I flatten the top of the tip on the grinder, so that it's only a semi-circular profile for the last 5mm or so. Then, using that as the "top" of the tool, I sharpen the tip the same as I would for a very small gouge or scraper.

I might do another quicky tute on this when I find some spare time.

Still haven't made it to Armidale. Aus post is very variable in its speed.
