Received my pen from my OS partner qballizhere (Roger), very nice indeed and some nice blanks as well.

    Edit:

I have been told by qballizhere(Roger) that the blank on the pen is not cast cactus but a wood blank og unknown parentage.
The clear cast Abalone blanks are for an Empress/Spring Blossom kit and were done by him.
I have never used or handled one of those kits and I was surprised by the difference in diameter of the tubes
Looks like I may have to get myself a Spring Blossom kit.

Amos posted about his Greatest Fears in a Pen Swap and it turned in to a bit of a discussion on Swap rules and the right and wrong things to do in a Pen Swap.

As it was in danger of taking over this thread I have moved those posts to a thread of their own, you can find it here.

Probably about the same as me getting a o/s and dom partner with the same last name, I couldn't believe it.

    Default Pen swap

My swap pen from Mez [mlloy23] arrived a few weeks back, I have since bought a new camera so I can down load photos. As you can tell still working through some of the threads as what to do to improve quality. As with all swap pens I use my swap pens in the office straight away. Thank you again to the organizers for all the work that goes into these swaps.
    Cheers Gerry

Default Hook Up With Aussiepens & MrPukaShell

My swaps for 2013 are complete and I could not be happier. I received my final swap a few weeks back and just now have had the time to post. Aussiepens sent me two fine pens and some interesting blanks. I mean how can you go wrong with names like "Hairy Oak", "Beefwood", "Tasmanian Blackwood" and some others. I will be adding these to my SWAP collection. Many thanks to everyone who participated. I have enjoyed all of the pictures and story telling. Looking forward to the next one.

    Best,

    Robert

Glad it arrived safely. The blank is Mulga. The Yew came from a friend in Paris, it was a street tree cut down outside his workshop. The Tea Tree is from Dai Sensei, stabilised, and the Mango is some of Maplemans famous root.

Glad you like the pen. It's been a great unofficial swap.

Received a PM from my OS partner qballizhere (Roger) that he had received my pen and blanks.

I sent him an El Grande roller ball dressed in Sheoak and some blanks.
