Yes Bob
I wished we lived closer but one day soon I will come over your way for that cuppa
I could see the two of us sitting and having a few cuppa's laughing at all the mistakes in each others workshop & home made benches, But as I was once told by my old high school principle & also a very good friend I worked with for years. If they hand me a challenge I will beat it. It takes me a lot longer now but I will get there eventually. these challenges only make us better & wiser
many regards my friend

I like the idea of BLO mainly because of applying the finish is easy. I use this finish on my wood turning chisels and garden tools.
I should also add that I do not expect this to hold up forever.

Better oil
Hi Guys,
At this year's Sydney WoodShow, I bought some products from the Howards Orange Oil stand, as I had done the year previous.
This time my son and I sat through one of the chap's demos and was convinced to purchase more of their product, even though I still hadn't even tried the spray orange oil from last year's show.
Well, long story short, WOW! At the time, my mate was staying for a few days and he's a woodie convert, at least as far as his rifle stocks are concerned.
We were both amazed at how good this stuff was! You can use it on bare or varnished timber and the results are the same.
Now, I've used and tried just about every oil mixture out there and I have to say that Howard's Orange Oil hits the spot.
Forget BLO and give this stuff a try. You will not be disappointed. I am not a rep for, nor do I have any affiliation with this product or their distributors.
Now, where did I put their card? I need to order some more of this product....by the litre this time.
BTW, please forgive any typos in this post as I had a run in with my band saw today and lost....badly. Those TCT Saw King blades are hell on fingers that get in the way of a still running blade even if it was turned off and slowing down.
Cheers,
Bob

My trouble is that I've already removed the top from the thumb of the same hand years ago while working on a bench saw.
If I was peed off at the lack of feeling I have when trying to pick things up with my left hand before, it's gonna be 100% worse now with this damage to my L/H index finger. I'm not going to like this.
Maybe I should just go back to working under cars again where it's safer.
Cheers,
Bob
