Default New home for miter saw

Just knocked this simple bench up on the weekend for my saw, finally no more carrying it around looking for free space to cut something.

Looks great... a very productive weekend.

I'm busy with something similar but still need to tweak the levels a tad.

Are your worktops exactly level with the M-Saw or 1mm or so lower?

Good work on the bench. Now you need to keep the bench clean so that you are not moving things around in order to cut something.

Nice, I wish I had the space for one.... I can't see from the photo - is the saw supporting platform supported from underneath, or just screwed up into the end rails of the benches' ?

    Thanks guys

The worktop is spot on the same hight as the saw, lengths of wood slide through nicely.

All I did was glue and screw the supporting base to the struts under the bench, there is plenty of screws and glue there so it should be ok

You are probably right, t'was me, I'd rest that shelf on a pair of battens, one screwed to the upright of each bench side.... to be sure to be sure....
