    Default Bitsen work bench?

Anyone had any experience or thoughts on these benches for a beginners bench?

It looks more like a good beginers project. It seems like an expensive way to buy studs and screws.

It would be a start and better than no bench at all. It is more a general handyman bench than a woodworking bench. You would have to stiffen it up to prevent wracking if you want to plane wood on it. There would also be hastles fitting a woodworking vise to it. 2 trestles and a recycled solid core door will do just as well.

    Good Morning Billy

I think they are way too light and lack versatility - no dog holes, how do you fit a vise, not really clamping friendly, too much $$$$, etc.

I worked for years with just a flat panel door sitting on a pair of saw horses or a pair of workmates. With zyliss vise this was surprisingly effective.

Their metal framed benches look remarkably like "office utility tables" which are currently flooding the auction market as offices everywhere install and update with modular computer desk units. Recently I picked up a pair of utility desks in excellent condition for $15 - use them as assembly benches.
