Default pulled my finger out and got it built

As I have posted iv got to move. "hate moving' as my shed is also for the storage and transport of the house contents, there is a need to have a big clean up. pack tools, dump non useable items.

After the first part of the clean out, it came clear that my storage is lacking. Miter saw bench it was good at the start but it just doesn't work well, lots of problems. this is the photo of it cleaned out

Need for a new bench. Iv had 7@2 3.6*600*15mm melamine cover sheets stored in the small shed for about a year now from a project that didn't happen, lucky they were free. and I picked up a few more about 6 weeks ago. the first miter saw bench I built in the container worked for the time but understand there was problems, route dust extraction, storage, useable flat surface, and storage.

over the years I collected bit and pieces as we do, on the grounds of " that will come in handy " thus resulting in tools, screws, bolts and stuck in places all over the place, time to sort it all out before packing the house contents in.

old bench pulled out, I wont up load the all the cutting and building photos, but here is the carcass coming together.

you know I didn't think I had that many draw tracks, 28 draws on tracks, 7 draws in the kick strip for tools that don't get used a lot. the first set of 4 draws rows in the top part of the cabinet look like this

the next set are 2 draw but deep, the last draws on the end take my router bits and pieces

not much else to say, other than man I have some storage now and a good work surface

We all seem to do that, start off with the necessary things at the time and accommodate them. Over time we collect more "necessary" things and we start making smaller and smaller homes for them so that they will fit neatly.
You should be happy for a while now, buuuuttttttt, we all know what will happen over time.

That's great. I'm uber jealous. I've got a little room off the back of my workshop that's crammed with things that are bound to come in useful at some stage. One day. Maybe.

I really like the kick board drawers. Great place for those millions of blow moulded boxes I have.

well as things happen, it looks like I wont be staying in Mackay. over the last couple of weeks two of my jobs finished, just before Xmas. that dropped me 22 hours a week, and with the lack of jobs going, and finding a house with a good back yard has being to be polite. a royal pain in the @@@. nocked back on 3 houses, told two have gone up for sale. and the last one I just said don't bother

So I have come to the end. I'm moving to Brisbane to be closer to all my family. so the container will go in to storage until I have the money to move it to Brisbane, I was in half a mind just to sell every thing and go. but I don't want to start over again

That's a tough call to get sell everything. Hope that things work out shortly.

The replacement saw station looks to be excellent.
