I ended up ordering those torquata ones from Timbecon

Got them today and they're ugly as hell LOL
But they are beefy and well made. Good quality plastic and well machined threads. They have an aggressive ribbing that catches really well on my 45mm top.
I probably needed a thicker top for traditional hold fasts and a thinner one for quick grip clamps so neither was an option.

A bit late here, but: the best traditional holdfasts are by Alaska blacksmith Phil Koontz.
