Can this idea work?
Has anyone done this.............
1 long bench and on it each connected to their own dust hose and blast gate router table, Bosch drill press and new model Makita scms
Some how I think using an extension of the SCMS fence and using that as a centreline for the drill press and router blade.
or am I hoping for 2 much?I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Not that particular combo of tools, but I've made benches with a shared fence-line before, generally for machines for similar use though. (eg. docking and trenching stations.)
I think that you could make it work... you probably wouldn't be happy with it though as that particular combo wouldn't particularly play well together in terms of sharing a fence.
The SCMS, by design, needs a fixed fence of particular orientation for reference. Both a drill press and a router table benefit greatly from adjustable (preferably removbale) fences, which can be oriented any old way on the table as they don't normally have a zero reference. This is also an asset when using jigs.
Also, a drill press without an adjustable height table is a sad machine indeed. I'd bet that yours does have one and that, should you incorporate it, very rarely would the drill table height be set to match the default bench height when in use.
I guess it depends on hiow you use the machines.

Tryed. In my my 40sq/m workshop it did not work. Too much time for readjustment's. Me is better off to stick with dedicated work benches on weels.
