Kids Workbench Plans Anyone?
Hi Guys,
Our little one is getting a new cubby house for Christmas & I wanted to make him a little workbench to go in it. A quick scan around the net showed up the usual (nothing). Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place.
Perhaps someone out there might be able to point me in the right direction for a nice little & simple workbench for him to play on (he's 4 years old).
Here's hoping....
Greg

I've not seen any, could you not just adapt the simple 2x4 workbench plans and minatuarise them?
Unless your four year old is demanding a twinscrew tail vise, square dog holes and an integral shooting board of course.Cheers,
Adam

Hi Greg
Couldn't find any kid's benches, but here's a simple one you could resize
http://170.224.4.200/lkn?action=howT...c=howToLibrary
and also a toolbox/caddy he could paint himself

Hope he enjoys his new workshop and you all have a lovely Christmas

This is probably overkill but then I don't know how old your kids are:

Time to embarass myself. Partner wanted a workbench for her four year old nephew. I looked around for any good plans, decided at this age he would require something pretty simpl. Then I picked up junk-mail from the local Big W. I bought a "Workbench/Garden Bench" for $40, shortened it, added a cheap vise, a drawer and it's bloody great.
Plus it saved me a lot of time for more woodwork (oh, and more drinking).
