    Default Leg vise

An interesting addition to the traditional leg vise.

I'd be interested in seeing how that works....I'm usually pretty good at working these things out but I can't fathom the design from what we were shown.

Blah, ok, worked it out, crying baby must have occupied too much of my brain.

Come by my place and see it.

Jim and I have been discussing this for a while. I am in the process of installing the preproduction kit. I'll keep you all informed.

    Clever.

I'll be watching. Was thinking of waiting for the Benchcrafted Crisscross (St Peters Cross) to go with my BC glide but now have another option (and likely a cheaper one). Derek, once it's installed I'd really like to know if the mechanism adds any extra resistance to the movement of the chop. This will probably make my mind up on which way to go. Cheers.

    Very interesting.

The initial hype over the Hovarter vises seems to have died off - not sure if they work as well as advertised, but there is a noticeable lack of reviews out there in webland. The Hovarter leg vise does look like a slightly clunky installation, but according to his own videos it seems to work OK.

This chain doohicky looks like it would be cheaper, and might work just as well?
