    Default Mitre Saw Stand

Not quite a work bench but I found this idea for a mitre saw stand in Australian Wood Review (issue 65 pg 80) and figured that it would be a great first project to get used to the Domino. (possibly sacrilegious to use your Festool to make a stand for your Makita, but I'll risk the lighting bolts)

I like the idea of the drop down wings as I don't have a lot of space, although SWMBO was a little unamused when I told her I had to buy a Festool Dusty because that's what was in the picture in the magazine.

    G'Day "Talorien",
That bench looks too good for the woodshop, great job.
I'd keep my head down for a while on the Festo Dusty for a while,
or at least may the boss something she'd like first [& get in the good books].
    Cheers, Crowie

Nice work Craig, this one is going in the memory banks.
I tend to only use the drop saw at the start of a job, maybe 10% of the whole project. Was going to incorporate it and fences etc into the next bench but one of these on casters, with track in the wings for end stops might do just the thing to use and then roll out of the way.
    Cheers,
    Shannon.

Great post Craig, am going to have to look at somthing like this. I had to chuck my bench out after the floods. It went with my collection of AWR after we ran out of time to rescue things.
