Thread: VERY nice workbench

I totally agree about a light work top. Black makes for a good look but makes it too difficult to see detail.

Here's the question: what features would you use from this bench for your own?

I think you need to think about the target market for this type of thing - people with limit space.

I have one wall (on the side) of a 36sqm double garage that needs to fit two cars in it.

I dont have a work bench at present, my mitre saw sits there, with the vac under it along with my systainers

I need a bench.

I need a router table.

Having something I can use my TS75 on is helpful

This thing is perfect for that.

Oh and I use power tools - lots of em, cant get enough of em, dont like nor want hand tools

You are absolutely correct. This may be a good design for someone in a small space.

But not necessarily a good choice if you can swing more workspace.

Elill has nailed it - it's a small space bench (i.e. it has to be the elephant in the room, and be capable of almost every activity).

Derek, as for what ideas I'd take, only one general one at this point (others too, pending further study) - I just love the way the guy thinks. As previously mentioned it's a great demonstration of what you can do, and sometimes those ideas lead to other ideas......

One thing that springs to mind, because I've long considered it, is having two detachable ends, possibly a CMS combo or CMS/MFT combo, onto which further extensions can be fixed when required.
