The Outdoor Workbench
When one of your (alleged) work-surfaces looks like Exhibit A ... you wouldn't ignore this old fellow would you?
Left to the rubbish collection. Forlorn. Unwanted. Spiderous.
Not if you also had a small plank of abused Oregon that used to hold up the roof next door ... right?
Oh really? ... How rude. Who asked you anyway?

Nice pink rag buddy!!!
Maybe you can sell it on ebay as an antique like Fantastic Vintage SAW HORSES for Coffee Table Supports! Trestle Legs | eBay
they may match those $15k old saw horses !!!

Hey - that's my best t-shirt. And it's RED dammit - RED!
No Toby - that's my mess there
And it's not a Berg it's a Titan. Have you guys heard of Titans at all?
Patrick Leach hadn't heard the name - over here they are legend-ish.
And yes - I was surprised by the webs - I'm in there most days - but then there has been a lot of work recently - really spoils the fun.
Cheers,
Paul
My gosh - my first multi-quote.

He could have been - I have only communicated with him a couple of times - I thought it would be strange for there to be such a disconnect between Ozzie lore and the US scene when he's so experienced with it all.
I've gotta work, but I feel it in my bones that there will be deep wells of discussions in these forums about Titans - and some who will know their stuff by heart!
Cheers,
Paul

I thought the word was spidiferous. Bit of bench oil, that'll come up a treat.
We don't know how lucky we are......

Legend has it...."THEY" say... ( never found out who "they" are)
...if you are in Australia, you are no more than 1m ( 39+ inches) away from at least 1 spider ALL the time.

Peter

Those daddy long leg spiders which, I am led to believe, are imports from Europe are extremely weberocious and you can sweep their webs out today and they'll be back just as bad tomorrow. Thats my excuse anyway.
Looks like a Silex or mit-a-mit brace lying on the bench Paul, another couple of brands that Patrick Leach hasn't heard of, perhaps.
Geoff.

Hiya Chippy.
When I first saw it I was thinking of it for the wood - and/or that it deserved a decent resting place to end out its days - not carted off on a flatbed or whatever.
I then quickly realised I had the other beam ... and thought "hmmmm"
It pulled apart with little trouble. The plywood and the jarrah planks were nailed so kicked off easily. The nuts on the leg bolts were sitting at the ends of their bolts - so very little trouble to get the nuts moving and off.
And the three through bolts only took a half turn or so to tighten up again.
Yes infill the top with wood from the house beam. The oregon plains like butter if there's no knots, so the top could look quite nice. But it's very soft isn't it? ... so a reject jarrah slab on top of the oregon?
It'll have to sit outside - under some cover - would you ... drown it in BLO?
I'm still searching for a pic I remember of a with the legs angled at a significant angle .. 30 or 45 degrees ... I'll find it eventually.
Cheers,
Paul
oops - forgot pics.
Lastly, it was shift all to the back yard.
