Default Recycled 30 mm. Ply bench top

I have some 30 mm. Ply 1000x 600x 30 recycled from old school benches.
Each piece is not large enough on its own so I was thinking of laminating 2 layers with staggered joints to give me a top 1800 x 600x 60.
what do people think? It should be stable, stay flat and have some weight just not sure of working on a ply top ?
    cheers

    Should be fine.

I'd just use biscuits at the butt joints

FWIW my 16 year old WW bench has just a single sheet of 19 mm ply - but it is supported by extensive 50 x 200mm and 50 X 100mm ribbing underneath..
