Split top Roubobench
I'm just about to starting building a split top roubo, wanted to see your thoughts on using vic ash for the build? Was either going to do all vic ash top and base or vic ash top with jarrah base?
Your comments will be much appreciated
thanks

Mine is all made out of Vic Ash/Tas oak, but a combo with Jarrah would certainly look good.
I got all my timber from 'Tile Importers' in Clayton. Very good prices, already dressed if needed like that(although still needs some smoothing) and can pick through what you want. They also have Jarrah and merbau.
There stock is a bit random but you can generally find the sizes you need if you look hard enough. And don't expect to much service, you pretty much just get your timber, drag it to the counter, pay for it then drag it to the car and load it up.(They do have trolleys). I got all the timber for my bench for about $400 from there.
Look forward to WIP.
