Studley Workbench
I think we have probably all heard and seen Harold Studley's tool cabinet. The topic came up today in conversation with another forum member and I did a little more research and found he had a workbench too.
Henry O. Studley's Workbench
It is a little bit of a stretch as the base was made by the current owner to reflect the style of the tool cabinet and the handwheel for the vice has been plated as the original was rusting badly. The top I believe is pretty much original.
I expect all you bench freaks (sorry that should read enthusiasts) have all seen this before, but it was new to me and I do like "pretty" workbenches. I hope you don't mind looking again

I looked at the link and the pic collection. Looks very swish overall, but I noticed polished metal vise faces, with protruding fastening screw heads in the rear faces. I am guessing that the vises don't get a lot of use these days.

Mmmmmm. I can just imagine the reaction at home.... "Oh, what a lovely sideboard. You cannot put my sideboard in your grotty shed. I think I'll put some flowers in that shiny, squeezy thingy...."
