    A few critical comments:

    • I have never had nice even offcuts that fit my shelves like that - never.
    • Even though it is on wheels I would not have all that storage, it makes it too heavy. You are better off with a component trolley.
    • As for the vacuum he is using, it will get some of the sawdust but nowhere near all of it, it needs a shroud.

Otherwise, the fence looks good and the infeed/outfeed tables are a good length.

HAH! HAH! HAH! hell I wish my off cut timber pile was as neat as that, currently a sprawling heap at the end of my bench roughly 3 ' high and 6 foot long, like the leaning tower of pizza or something, to reclaim a lump from in there is to risk life and limb, my cutting bench is 20' long and still I cant fit 6 mtr lengths in to dock as i stupidly mounted my radial arm saw central! my chop saw just sits forlornly at the end of my workbench supported by an old table, but it is at the same height as my bench so I can use the full length (4.8 mtrs) of that to dock

but all will be remedied when I extend my shed LOL!

Then will you have a bigger pile of off cuts?

I agree about the dust collection. A canopy is the most effective in my experience. I don't think the bench would be too heavy though. I have some hefty benches on wheels. The castors make a world of difference and help me maximise usage in my small workshop.

One mod I would make is to place the saw at one end maximising the length of cut you can make. Aesthetically is looks nice in the middle, as do the nice off cuts , but functionally I would prefer it on one end.

HAH! HAH! HAH! probably just more "piles", but at least I'll be able walk around them better without kicking a "protruding" piece, must start making some draws that chews up the "waste pile"

At the present moment with the build that I am doing. For some strange reason I created what could only be described as figure S on a racing track.

I created one and a half.

I like DK5 's bench better, great idea with the folding wings.
Might be just the photo but the wings look as if they hang down and not parallel with the saw table .
Still a good design for saving space when not in use.

Thanks Andy and Kev. Haven't got in WIP pics but I followed a plan that is available here.

The only thing I did different to the plans was to add an Incra fence instead of the plan fence and incra shop stops. Very happy with the result.

    Cheers, David

Nice work d5k. I have got a few fold ups in in my workshop now. This might just fit the bill.
