Upgrades to my workbench
A while back I made a "temporary" workbench from myself using an old pallet from the bin and two MDF cover sheets, it was big and heavy and useful but when I moved to this new house I had to make do with a much smaller space.
I saw an episode on the wood whisperer and another on the AWR showing storage drawers under their workbenches which got me thinking...
I checked out what i could get MDF for on ebay and found 1200 x 600 x 16 sheets at $1 a sheet and bought 40 of them then I found 450mm full extension 45kg Hettich runners for $20/set and normal 400mm roller runners for $30/set of 20. Bargains all round so i did some bidding then some sketchup then some shed time and the result:
4 x 100mm Drawers
1 x 400x700x500 drawer for big stuff
2 x 200 x 500 x 700 drawers for stuff that's just too big for a normal drawere but just too small to leave lying around
I still have to put fronts on most of them, i put a front on the big centre drawer and finished it with an ogee profile, then I need to put handles on and finally I will put another 3 x 150mm drawers in this space:

the little drawers have the "girly" runners but the big drawers have 90kg rating on them and they run very nice and smoothly.

Looks like really good storage there, but how do you hold things on that bench?
Cheers
