Default New vice ... Short story LONG FIX..

I bought my new vice today and the bar was missing.. Took it back to get a new bar and the fella said everybody always steals the bar, So after getting it fixed I went to bolt it down but the bolts i had at home didnt fit in it becase they were to big. Went back to bunnies but they werent long enough. went back got longer bolts attached the vice but the vice was stiff as in it didnt come smoothy out when i turn it anyone know the best way to "LUBE IT UP"?

I grab a spray can of motorbike chain oil for such things.
Gets well in and stays around for ages.

Chain lube from an Auto place.
A little goes a long way. Do not drown it

    Hi Dieman566.

    Just a thought.

Another type of lube is graphite spray.
I think it is what locksmiths use in locks because it isn't a wet lubricant.
Therefore, dirt and dust don't settle in it preventing the locks from gumming up.

Good luck with your over sized nut cracker.

    You are right, Diemen.

    WD40 is a solvent, not a lubricant.
