Put “rare” and “antique” in the add then ask triple what you reckon

I if I saw that for much more than $20 I wouldn’t be interested, but that’s just me.

    Cheers Andrew

Someone hear might like to use the hardware and start again.
Why not put it up for sale here?

    Cheers Matt.

I have a leg vice mechanism very similar to yours, Tony, and have been wondering for about ten years about what I can do with it.

    Will watch with interest.

Don’t dump it. Just pass it on to someone who wants it. And you’ll make a friend )

In the interests of honest appraisal... I'd toss in the bin if you gave it to me.

The type of people who are making benches and adding leg vices to them are spending some $ on good wood, have nice tools... would probably either buy nice new hardware or make their own with a cheap wood screw kit rather than muck about with a poor quality old metal one. Also the position of the screw suggests it doesn't have much clamping capacity in terms of room above the screw.

Does it have a new bolt stuck through it? That would stuff any heritage/antique value, although it might come out easily enough I suppose.
