    NOW it's done.
Final coat of oil went on today. Then moved it into it's final position (yeah right, for now anyway)

    Final Pictures.
    The finished bench
    The top
Some nice timber in the legs.(photo doesn't do it justice) Must machine the rest of this timber to see what it's like.

That's my thunkin' stool. Just the right height for resting the elbows on the bench and working out how to fix the latest stuff up.
As soon as the oil has cured i'll be starting on a bluegum slab desk. Stay tuned for the next WIP.

Bench looks stunning. That timber in the cross member on the close up looks fantastic. Is that wavy grain in the timber real or a photo artefact?

The wavy grain is real. I couldn't see the figure and grain till I applied the oil. Some of it is too nice for a workbench.

When an extremely low pressure system is centred on downtown Hades.

I might actually have a piece of brass that could be made to fit.

I've just noticed that this bench took less than six months to build...

Isn't that some sort of code violation

I prefer to think of it as a Benchmark

Now get a move on with your bench.

I think you're right Ray. It's going to have to be a bloody big book to cover that much procrastination
