    Default Workbench top trim ???

I'm thinking of running a jarrah trim along the top front facing edges of my workbench surfaces. I have some 125x19mm jarrah boards that I was going to use, Just not sure if this will look good or be too much.

I'm just wanting to clean up the front edge and it will also provide a nice flat surface for my vice(s) which are yet to be installed, I'm also thinking the jarrah will provide a nice contrast.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Cheers

I used merbau for my vices but I think jarrah would be perfect and as you say a nice contrast. BTW, you workshop is cleaner than my kitchen

hahaha yes this was when the benches were first built, it's not that clean now )

So you don't think jarrah trim on all the top edges would be too much?

I think the Jarrah on the edge will be first class substantial timber to protect the face and to add nice finish to the benches.

That is a fantastic workshop. Jarrah will work well and look great. It will also offer protection on the edges which is always a good thing.
