Nice one Toni
That is one type of clock/watch I have never attempted (have wanted to but seem to be too busy fixing up my shed at the moment)
A few questions, What size insert is that? 35mm?
Do you have a carving/engraving on the back? (the pic is a little out of focus)
What sort of wood is it?
Look forward to seeng your next one,
Chipman

Hi Chipman, It was a 35mm clock, the engraving is what I did with my ornamental lathe, the wood I am not sure what it is it was a piece I found in the yard to experiment with

Very nice.
I love making pocket watches, they make great presents.
A fob chain finishes them off nicely.

I know these things are reasonably tough but have you also considered a face? I was thinking of a pair of rare earth magnets instead of a clasp but I'm not sure how that would effect the clock. Hinges would be the hard part. I couldn't find a supplier in a brief search. They might have to be bespoke in which case the cost just went up. Oh well, it was idea...
