We used to call them fly cutters.
Not sure where you can get them from now though.Jim Carroll

Vermec have a complete thread cutting attachment so I'm guessing that they will have the cutters.
Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Bonnie Klein sells a cutter for her Threading Jig for $31.50US.

Go to the Product Information and click on the pdf Price List and its near the bottom.

In Fred Holders Book, Making Screw Treads In Wood.
http://www.morewoodturning.net
On page 39 he said he bought a "....Morse Taper End Mill Holder with drawbar capability and a 60 degree double-angle shank type cutter that fits into it. These should be available from most metal machining equipment suppliers." (Looks much like the one you pictured.) Googled the cutter and you get some like this.

Have ordered this cutter from Bonnie Klein so hopefully I'll get it sometime by the end of the week or early next week, it's exactly what I want and is something that I can just order online which is how I mainly buy stuff like this
mscdirect also stock it as this looks like it's where Bonnie Klein sources them from but after spending 5 minutes or so scrolling through their Terms & Conditions I found that for International Shipping they ship via UPS of which I won't deal withCheers
