Thread: 3 x berg chisels

I am interested. A few questions please
1) to be honest I had not heard of this brand but I was told Berg's hold an edge very well. Is that your experience?
2) Is the flat side of the chisels in good condition or rust pitted?
3) I don't suppose you have a 1" and 1/4" you also don't use/need?

Apologies I should have uploaded photos of the backs to begin with, I purchased them all with minor pitting as you can see with the middle one. But the one on the left that has been polished was just me by hand on the water stones so all of them will come up just fine.

I have heard the same about edge retention also but I haven’t really used these to put that to the test as I have another set of chisels as my primary. I assume these chisels would be great once sharpen

No unfortunately I don’t but they do come up on eBay and here on the forum so if you were to start with these or another set then just fill in the blanks over time. Hard to find these as a set and when they’re available they’re pretty pricey.
