3 hp Table saw with sliding table
I am placing my table saw up for sale. This is a heads up for those either about to visit the WA Wood Show this weekend to look for a discounted machine, or someone just looking for value.
My table saw was purchased from Carbatec (built in Taiwan like a brick dunny) is going on 20 years old - which means 20 years of tuning and modifications! The table saw has a cast iron top. I built on a small extension for ripping, which adds significant support in a compact package. It has a very solid sliding table (steel rails and cast iron table), a quality Biesemeyer-style fence with a Wixey digital readout on 51" rails, a 3 hp motor (about 24 months old, single phase and 15 amp) connected with a link belt, and a router table built into the extension (included is a router fence that attached to the table saw fence - this provides easy adjustment as well as ensuring the fence runs parallel to a mitre guide). The existing router is not included, but the router plate is. In addition to the sliding table, there is an Incra 1000SE mitre guide. A new power on-off switch has been mounted, to enable quick shut off hands-free.
The table saw is very solid. It rests on shop made wheels and can be moved around. The rails for the sliding table are easily detached and returned with four bolts, which is handy if you want to move it into a corner.
The cross cut on the slider is very accurate, as is the rip on the main fence.
Issues? The rise-and-fall is a little stiff, but works well enough.
There are 4 blades I can pass on. All are in near-new condition. Note that the saw uses both 12" and 10" blades. The 12" provide a large depth of cut (5"?) and the 3 hp motor power this through all hard woods. There is a 12" rip, 12" combination, and 2 x 10" 80-tooth triple chip blades.
The price is $850, which is an absolute bargain. For comparison, the closest to this from Carbatec new with a slider is $2500 (the slider is $995 alone!).
You are welcome to come and check it out at my home in Rossmoyne (SOR).
PM me if interested.

What a bargain. It'd be gone if it was in Vic.
Is this single phase, 15A?

Yep. The tablesaw is definitely on the market. I am purchasing a Hammer B3.
There is one interested party already. I will hold up on placing the tablesaw on Gumtree for forum members to have first look at the saw. Contact me if you are interested. The blades are worth about $600 alone (I cannot use them on the Hammer), the Wixey digital measure another $200. The router table insert is $55, the Incra V120 is $135. Without the tablesaw and slider that is already nearly $1000 worth of extras!
