Carbatec 19" heavy duty - 2hp bandsaw
The bandsaw is the most useful and versatile machine in the workshop. You can rip, crosscut, and do curves. It can easily replace a tablesaw.
I’ve had this bandsaw for many years, and it has served me well. As I prefer hand tools over machinery, I have not used the bandsaw daily, but once a month sometimes two months would pass when I would use it.
For that reason, I’ve decided to sell it. I may come to regret the sale, only time will tell.
It’s a powerful 2HP beast. I have never, ever had an issue with it. After every use, I would vacuum the machine inside and out. I looked after it very well, which is why it looks and runs in top condition.
I have replaced all the bearing 2-3 months ago and have replaced the rubber on the wheels about 2 years ago. I have also attached a mobile base to the unit so I can move it around the workshop with ease.
Lastly, I’m offering 3 extra new blades and 1 that’s installed. The blade length is 3635mm x 3/4" x 3 tpi carbon, which I found to be the ideal width and tooth count. They will resaw logs and other boards quickly and smoothly, but the downside is they will also blunt quickly. As I rarely used my saw, it would take up to 2 years before I needed to swap blades. So you will get 3 of those blades including the one installed, and the final one never used is a 1/4" wide and cannot remember the tooth count. I bought this for tight scroll curves, but never used it. Below, I will list what’s included with the machine.
It has an automatic braking system and the doors cannot open while the machine is running and the machine will not start with the doors open. These are all safety features. There is a key that comes with it so the kids cannot turn it on without it. The depth of cut is 300 (12"). The features I will list are what’s included on the machine.

Sometimes you get lucky in life and find a tool that's been well looked after and that will serve you for many more years to come. This is one of those times. I look after all my tools irrespective whether it's a machine or hand tool. I never use it what it's not intended for, I never let it rust nor allow it to be filled with sawdust. That's just me each to their own.
I cannot ship this as I wouldn't know how
Price is including all the extras $2,500

This is a fantastic saw that is not over priced. What is over priced are the rust buckets 14-17in models advertised for $1700 and less. Yes, they are also advertised for $2000.
I am not going to slut my tools off just to make a sale. I am not over priced nor under priced, I am just in the middle range.
Everything I have sold on this forum has been priced fairly, even the last timber I sold. Those in the know, know this and buy.
I have never ripped anyone off and never will. I never exaggerate the quality of my stock. I look after everything that I own, that's just the way I am.
So please do not send me PM's with ridiculous offers of $1700 or $1900 or try to compare my saw with some over priced rust bucket.
Carba tec in the last 10 years has made zero improvement on this bandsaw and yet they are selling it for $5000 on an NZ website and none available in Australia.
They also have on offer a 21in model for almost $4000. These bandsaws are heavy and bulky and the 19in model is the right size and works like a dream.
It will do whatever you want it to do as long as you know what you are doing. Sadly many people don't, but I am more than happy to teach you.
I have an interested buyer, but in case it falls through you are all more than welcomed to have a look at the saw. I am negotiable with the price but within reason.

If people are making offers by PM then they are breaking the rules. Tell them to bugger off and report them. I have the same saw and can honestly say it is excellent. Mine is better with urethane tyres rather than the rubber that came with it when I originally bought it about ten years ago and I just replaced the guide bearings with Japanese equivalents. The price you have is fair and reasonable.
Col.Good better best, never let it rest, until your good is better and your better best.

Section 1
If you are able to accept $2200 and providing I don't have to pick up immediately ( say one month) I will take it.
I look forward to hearing.
