Default Carter Number C-1 Carriage Makers Rabbet Plane = Stanley 10-1/4

This is the Carter equivalent to the Stanley 10-1/4 Carriage Maker's Rabbet Plane, with the same length, but without Stanley's spurs or tilting handles.
In one respect it is better than the Stanleys, and that is in the thickness of the castings - particularly in the cheeks which are the achilles heel of the Stanleys.
    The Carter is stronger.
This plane is hard to find complete, and in this condition with a full blade and intact handles, near impossible.
This one has been used and shows some paint loss on the handles and some stains to the grey iron.
It is an excellent user and a great addition to any tool chest
Because of its rarity and condition, price is firm on this one. $150 plus postage.
A similar plane in comparatively poor condition sold recently for $172 plus postage
