CNC Router - $1000
Selling my homemade CNC router $1000. I built this 10 years ago and its served me well over the years. I’ve upgraded to a commercial machine so its time for this to go.
At this time it has some issues. Mainly a shaking gantry. i can’t be bothered to fix and find the issue so this CNC is sold for someone that wants to have a cheap one that will be a project to fix or rebuild. Its cost me more than $4000 to build it. The spindle and VFD were only bought a year ago and barely saw any work.
specs: Working area is 1200mm x 650mm x 150mm. It’ running a 1.5kW spindle through a VFD. Ballscrews on all axises. The controller is a Hommann Design Gecko G540. I’ve got a bunch of spare parts which i’ll include such as a spare stepper motor, some bearing blocks, bearing mounts and cable trays.
I’ll include the desktop computer that has my Mach3 license in it but that PC is close to dying. I can also install Mach3 on the buyer’s computer if the buyer brings it over. Selling as pickup only, i’m not shipping this anywhere.
Here is a link of the CNC in action. I used it mostly for making MDF templates and pickguards for my guitars

The Gecko (these are just brilliant drivers!) is around $400 on it's own, $1000 is fantastic value given it's also got a spindle and VFD! I'd be pretty keen myself if it was Melb.
