    Default Copper Nails

    CopperNails3.jpg

I have more than 12 KG of copper nails. Sizes range from 1.75 cm to 15.5 cm (only one of these). Most are between 6 to 7.7 cm. There are also
1 cm diameter roves and 1 cm copper rivets with washers. There are also 2 cm round nails. There is also a kilo or so, of mixed nails as yet, unsorted.

I believe copper nails sell for about $10 per 10 grams, but am willing to negotiate for kilo prices.

The nails are at Kenmore, Brisbane.

Holy cow, I didn't even see grams, my brain auto-corrected it to kilograms!

That decimal point can be a bugger to place doing the mental arithmetic.

Damn! I just went out to the shed and weighed my copper nails. I better cancel that luxury cruise I just booked when I thought I was rich.

Yes it should have been per 100gms. Prices on the net vary enormously, as in most things.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Copper-b...cAAOSwR0Fc6Osb suggests $25 for 500gms. Does that sound reasonable if anyone wants some copper nails?

I don't need any copper nails but new, 50mm sell for about $110 for 500gms so I think your price is very reasonable.

I don't think blister pack prices of any fixings from Bunnings are any real indicator of value, let alone ""fair market value.

Bunnings has a lot of great deals all the time, but blister packs ain't one of them!

They are specifically designed to either push consumers into buying a more expensive larger amount, or to be extremely high profit in smaller quantities using vastly inflated pricing for the people who need small quantities and don't care about the ridiculous cost ratio compared to larger quantities, and likely would never buy a larger amount because they know they wouldn't use them.
