Cousens Super Saw Radial Arm Saw
It's time to move on my Cousens Super Saw.
It's been disassembled and stored at a friends house for quite a few years now.
The photos are old ones I had from when it was in use.
500mm cross cut and I think about 160mm depth. Pretty sure it has a 14" blade.
Works well but you will need to make a stand for it or mount it on an existing bench.

$350
Pick up only from Camden in NSW.
It has the Irwin blade shown in photo 4 not the rusty one that was on it when I got it.
It can take a dado blade but I have never used one on it.Those were the droids I was looking for.

NCA
Those types of saw are so good (I call them framing saws). If I did not already have something similar I would be putting my hand up like a shot. Being 240V and at that price it would not surprise me to see a few trampled in the rush.

I hope so Paul. I'd like to see it go to a good home.

Don’t need it myself but Cousens do come with a good pedigree.
I remember Jack Thompson who was sales manager for Austral saying they made the locally manufactured Wadkin Bursgreen AGS tablesaw.
Better product than the original from England in some respects as some parts were milled not die cast.

To my mind these saws like the Cousens were the forerunners of the SCMS. In this regard they will do every thing that a SCMS will. My own SCMS (Bosch) has a 300mm blade and a maximum crosscut of just over 300mm. The Cousens has a 350mm blade and a 500mm crosscut. I would think that this saw would suit anybody who would like a large, up-market SCMS but cannot afford (or cannot justify) around $1200 or more for a brand new Bosch/Makita etc.
I need to declare I have no financial interest in this saw (although I would be prepared to accept a beer when I next see NCA, which I have not done for several years now), but it strikes me as a bargain: Just saying.

I’m unfortunately still in the wrong state, no Paul the right state of mind, because I want more tools, just geographically the wrong state.[emoji20][emoji20].
