I bought this about 8 years ago on the used market for $1800 (retailed 10k new when in production) with the hopes of installing 3 phase power at my place. This never happened so this router has sat in my garage collecting dust the whole time and hasn't been used since I last tried it in the shop I got it. As such it'll probably need some cleaning and minor maintenance. The machine uses vacuum clamping to clamp the work to the templates and for pneumatically lifting the spindle so an air compressor is required to use it (not included).


Pin routers were pretty much the go to tools in commercial shops back in the old days before CNC's became a thing, it's still used quite a lot in smaller guitar building shops and pattern making shops. I bought this originally because I wanted to crank up my guitar production, that unfortunately didn't happen.


The router is US-made, the company CR Onsrud is still around and have great customer service, I got a manual from them along with a CD with a presentation on how to build templates for it when I emailed then back when I bought it. You can still buy spare parts and tools for these from them. The manual and CD is included in the sale.


It probably weights more than 500kg so a forklift or crane will be needed to move it. I know a delivery guy with a small crane that will deliver to the Brisbane/Gold Coast area for something along the lines of $150, to be confirmed with him. I won't crate this up and ship it elsewhere, too complicated.
