Drill Press - Pedestal - 1.5HP Floor Standing with Keyless Chuck
Hi all,
I am downsizing my shop somewhat, and having a floor standing pedestal drill that I hardly use. Seems a waste, and I think someone else might get more use out of it!
It's a Rexon DP500f Floor standing Pedestal Drill Press ( cost $1200 new ).
1.5HP ( 1200W )
I upgraded the Chuck to a newer Keyless chuck shortly after purchasing. Great drill. Solid construction.
Speeds can be changed by changing belts.
Pickup from Altona North, VIC - you'll need a trailer/ute. I can help load.
Asking $450 ONO

I'm interested but I don't have a ute or a trailer so I'd have to fit it into a sedan, albeit one with a drop down section in the rear seat back.
Can you let me know how tall it is and the length and width of the motor and drill head? It looks like the foot plate and motor unit can be removed from the steel shaft - do you know if that's possible?

Hi Ian,
I'm not sure it would fit in a normal Sedan.
It's 1700mm high.
Head unit is 750mm deep front to back.
The foot is 630mm deep and 460 wide.
To get it I to a Sedan it would need to be taken apart I think. I do t think that would be too hard.

The head is attached to the shaft by a couple of grub screws on the right hand side. Loosen these and the head will lift off.

I've measured my boot and if the head or the foot plate comes off then it should fit in my car.
How about I come over to have a look at it and if I can get it in my car I'll take it.
