    Hi Roy
Sorry not single phase hence only $400
It's 3 phase but could be converted to single phase with the addition of a 3 phase to single VSD/VFD.
Currently it has a direct connection isolation switch, but happy to have a 3phase plug fitted if so required by the purchaser.

You could probably just replace the motor fairly easily. Just match the shaft size, mount type and RPM and your away. Take a look at:

Bang a VFD on and have speed control. I really regret buying the single phase version of my Felder - it lives in the same room that I work in so variable speed control would make a huge difference.

Just be aware that many of those 3HP 3P motors are hard wired as 415V ∆ - these cannot be run by a 240V SP Input 240V 3P output VFDs.
Only 415V Y connected motors reconnected as ∆ can be run on 240V.

To do this on a hardwired 415V ∆ connected motor from 240V will require a special 240V SP to 415V 3P put VFD - expect to pay a bit more (ie double) - look up ECOGOO VFD.

    Hi BobL

Yes you are correct many 3ø motors are hard wired delta.

I have attached a photo of the junction box showing the terminals which indicate that it is probably a star wound motor.
Without opening the motor I can not confirm whether or not this motor is star wound and if it is possible to be converted to a delta winding.

The motor is a 2 pole which would indicate a 2800 RPM/3000 RPM speed which could be increased to 3400 RPM/3800 RPM using a 60Hz VFD.

I would recommend that this dust collector remain 3phase, even so it represents outstanding value at only $400 for 2800 CFM extractor.
