Fein Dustex 25 plus Dust Deputy Delux
I have two vacuum cleaners and don't need both. The one for sale is a Fein Dustex 25 (which means it has a 25 lt capacity) along with a Dust Deputy Delux. This comes with all hoses and connections. The main hose is the 4m long 35mm Fein.
This is a powerful and relatively quiet vacuum cleaner.
The reason for having two vacuum cleaners is that I purchased the Fein about 6 years ago, but about a year ago it stopped working. It went in to the agents, who diagnosed a faulty computer. The computer controlled the variable speed and the automatic switch on when a sander or router was plugged into it. The cost of replacing the main board was more than I wanted to spend, and instead I spent a LOT more and purchased a Festool VC that ran into four figures. Don't tell my wife! Then I had a brain wave and had the Fein technician by-pass the computer and - hey presto - it works perfectly as a single speed machine. It has full suction. It is as quiet as ever. It just does not have variable speed or automatic switch on-off. It is still miles better than any machine you can purchase at double the price I am asking. I believe I paid $550 for the Fein.
Just the on-off is relevant ...
In addition, the Fein has a 0.3micron HEPA (washable) filter (that was a $125 accessory). This is as clean a machine as they come.
The Fein works hand-in-hand with a Dust Deputy. This is the Delux version that comes with 50mm hose and twin buckets (the one bucket is used as a holder for the second bucket). These sell for $189 at Carbatec. There is nothing to wear out. It is as good as new (better - I have reinforced the lid).
I want $275 for both (I am not going to sell them separately).
PM me if interested. Come around and have a look. I am in Rossmoyne (SOR).

What you need is a driving holiday to Tasmania. Throw the vacuum in the boot, and you'll have a week or so to say your good buys. When you make it down to Hobart, I'll buy it from you, then you'll have extra cash for your holiday. Your wife will exclaim how your old tools even make money, and will encourage you to buy more goodies for the workshop! I've got it all figured out for you Derek. I can't see any down side!
