Man I wish I had the spare cash, the sanding frame alone is almost $400!

Would you post it? At my cost obviously. If so, I’ll take it.

Sorry no postage at this stage Riverbuilder. I'd prefer to have picked up.

My man in Melbourne is two hours away from you and with the current travel restrictions, he doesn’t want to risk a jail term on my account. So I will take it if you’re prepared to post it. PM me if this happens as I’m not really good at finding threads and checking them. Good luck.

    Can I offer a solution?

If LPW is prepared to box it in cardboard, it can be booked via CouriersPlease.com.au for collection. It is super low cost, tracked, insured and point-to-point.

LPW just needs to put a label on, after boxing it safely (I use old Amazon boxes custom cut to fit!). Obviously LPW will need your info RiverBuilder (name, adress, mobile, email) as you will theirs....

RB, you'll be the booker and payer, as its yours. So, the risk is yours, but you can insure it appropriately. LBW, you'll only need to help out a little bit to get a good sale

All very straight forward and low risk. I do it *all* the time, even for people I've never met nor know off Gumtree. Its an easy and pleasant experience for both.

Yes, that would work. I’d just have to arrange with the guy at the marina to receive it. One of the few downsides of not having an actual street address and road access is not being able to get courier deliveries. A lot of sellers on ebay won’t post to p.o. boxes either, which is frustrating. I’ll leave it up to the seller to decide, this virus has made everything tricky for everyone.

Hi WoodPixel, thanks for the very helpful advice. I would be happy to assist you Riverbuilder if you can organise freight from your end. I'm only hesitant to post as our little local Post Office is a bit stretched at the moment. I should mention also that I have a Festool CT 22 E Vacuum for sale too, asking $375.

Couriers are happy to drop to depots (locally close to you), businesses and mates.

I've done this a lot with sales on Gumtree (I had lots of 20kg buckets of 20/20/50 NPK fertiliser!)

A slight alternative to CouriersPlease is TransDirect.com.au which is a quote aggregator. Sign up and you'll get cheaper rates too

Let us know how you get on with organising courier Riverbuilder and if you want to proceed i'll box up in some cardboard, pdf, bubble wrap etc.

    Hi mate,

Would you accept $650 for the belt sander?

I’m in Melb and can organise a safe pick up.

    Thanks
