Default Festool Rotex RO 150 w/insert and Systainer 3

Up for sale is a Festool Rotex RO 150mm random orbital sander including insert and Systainer 3. Please be advised that there's something wrong with the unit. The motor still works fine but the disk needs a bit of a hand at the start to begin spinning and when it does, it's noisy. I suspect it's a shaft bearing that needs replacing but I've never taken it to anyone to get it looked at or repaired. I used it as an excuse to upgrade to a Mirka. With that said. I'm selling it for repair or for parts. It may be a simple fix for someone mechanically minded, or it may be a case of it being a parts donor. As such. I am pricing it accordingly and I'm asking $120 for it. It comes with the Systainer 3, which alone is $140 new, the insert, the bump guard, but not the power lead which I'm using for my other Festool tools.

Inspection and pick up from Robertson Qld 4109.

    Cheers,
    Mike

I didn't think any interstate buyers would be interested because of the condition and not being able to inspect it firsthand, but if you're willing to roll the dice, I suppose that I can ship it but it won't be until Thursday or Friday by the time I find a box and get a postage quote. PM me your postcode and I'll get a quote on Tuesday.

    Cheers,
    Mike.

There’s an eccentric bearing that the pad runs on that locks up when not used for a while, I just spray a bit of Wurth rostoff on it and it sorts itself out after a few minutes of running.

I reckon that's the bearing that needs replacing. I don't think spraying it with anything will fix it, but if it's as simple as that, then the buyer will have snagged a bargain.
