FREE - Stanley plane - 12-204
For all the NEWBIES out there, I've a freebie with a BONUS!
Here is a decent Stanley 12-204 plane.
You can see its been used, but there are no craterings, rust, gouges or other nasties. Frog, blade, chip breaker and pressure douverlackie are all in excellent shape. A bit of TLC will have it visually back in order quick smart.
Easy to use, strop up and do your... doings.
Completely free.
Added in is a 10mm Chisel of unknown make and/or quality.
Pictures tell all.
Pick up from Canberra any time (Molonglo for those unfortunates who also live here) aaannnddd Happy to post using my super dooper discount courier at cost for those who live in the bush fire ravaged countrysides. Just need your postcode for a calc.
p.s I have no idea if people actually collect these, it *may* be about 30 years old given what I know about the person who sold it to me. They seem to sell for a fair chunk more than I thought. It owes me nothing and I'd gain MUCH greater joy seeing someone start or progress on their woodworking journey than a few dollerydoos.
Peace!

WoodPixel, I would like to have that plane, it looks a lot lighter than the monstrosity I am trying to use.
I will PM you in the morning.
Thanks,
Rgds,
Crocy.

Wow, that was one for the night owls. Glad to see that Crocky got it, he's been generous on here in the past.

I held off as it seemed to be targeted for newbies.

Yes. I was hoping to pay it forward.
There are many on this forum that have been obscenely generous to me over the years, especially the last 6 months, or even the last 2.
I'm finding my feet again and I intend to give back a hell of a lot more than I've received.
Old Croc, I'm about to respond to your IM.
FYI - there will be a few more today. I bought a bunch of stuff from a rural sale yesterday. A bit of a grab-bag and eclectic, so I'll get up what I can (apologies for the weird hours! Thats my life ATM!)
