HAFCO T13S Helical Head thicknesser
Full details and specs here: W815 - T-13S Bench Mount Thicknesser - Helical Head | Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse
Got to clear some space while I level more of my alpine garage floor, so a few tools to come.
I bought this thicknesser last year from an old pen turner who discovered he had terminal cancer. I felt sorry for him and bought a few extra bits. Think I've run 4 small pieces of wood through it - performs fine. (I have the dirty great DeWalt to do most of my thicknessing)
It is the helical cutter head version.
There's a note scribbled on the machine that he replaced the cutters with new 'tungsten' cutters in 2017. They won't have had much use, and I'm assuming he meant tungsten carbide as there are only HSS and Carbide cutters listed.
The orange bit sticking out the dust port is an adaptor I 3D-printed for my Festool 36mm hose to fit the 100mm dust port - this will come with the machine. There are also a couple of pieces of vibration-damping carpet cut to shape, and a torx driver. I don't have a hardcopy manual, but it can be downloaded from the Hafco page above.
I usually reckon on about 2/3rds new price for decent 2nd hand stuff - they're on sale for $715 ex delivery now, so I'm figure $450 seems reasonable.

Bargain! They're a ripper machine. This guy sells the Tungsten-Carbide cutters for it really cheap:

Just a token round of applause for someone who is 3D printing their own DE adaptors
I suspect that could be a nice little side business if you were so inclined, bravo!

How'd you like this little one:

A (slightly pointless connection) to the Hammer A3 - just while I mess about with the beast and wait for proper extraction.

That's a 7 hour print, even at 'draft' resolution

If you got it, flaunt it ; )
7 hours? You'd want to nail the diameters, heh. Superb.
Enjoy that Hammer.
