Hafco Table saw
Hey there all! Up for sale is a Hafco Sb-12 saw in used condition. It is a 10 amp 240v number so no special circuits needed. It is a decent hobby saw for sure. It comes with a mitre gauge, overhead guard and fence system. Also included with this saw is the sliding table assembly pictured which bolts to the Left hand side of the saw. I have never actually used this feature and am actually missing a few of the bolts but they are the kind of thing you can pick up at the hardware store so there should be no worries there. Also Hafco still makes this saw so you could get onto them for any spares etc if you prefer.
I have been thinking about upgrading for a while and a few weeks ago a plastic bracket broke which holds the angle setting rod in place( see the photos) , its just a small plastic bracket but the angle isn't tightly set right now and won't come all the way to 90 degrees. So instead of fixing it up I'm just going to pass it on to someone who can be bothered to see it right or else have it serviced and get a nice little saw for cheap! Everything was working fine up until that small plastic bracket cracked so I am looking to get $300 for it and with a little know how, a few cheap parts and a couple of hours you'll have yourself a good saw. Happy to hear offers on this one too, NickoIMG_0163.jpgIMG_0173.jpgIMG_0176.jpgIMG_0171.jpgIMG_0169.jpgIMG_0167.jpgIMG_0174.jpgIMG_0170.jpgIMG_0168.jpgIMG_0166.jpgIMG_0177.jpgIMG_0178.jpgIMG_0179.jpgIMG_0163.jpgIMG_0173.jpgIMG_0176.jpgIMG_0171.jpgIMG_0169.jpgIMG_0167.jpgIMG_0174.jpgIMG_0170.jpgIMG_0168.jpgIMG_0166.jpgIMG_0177.jpgIMG_0178.jpgIMG_0179.jpg

This is basically the same as my saw although mine is an earlier 90's model. While they're not a Harvey or Sawstop they can be set up to cut pretty accurately and at the offered price this could end up being a very nice starter saw. I don't have the sliding table, but I expect it could be handy at times.
Bargain! Grab it Lappa, the broken plastic part is of no consequence. You won't believe the difference to what you're using now.

Thanks for the input alday. The build plate says this one is a 2004/05. I think this is a great starter saw, particularly for someone who wants to save some money but is happy to have a little tinker to set it up really well! As for the sliding table I have never set it up properly but it looks like it has some pretty decent travel on it

it's currently nestled away in my garage after collecting it from nicaboo... although there's a chance it may be played forward again since it's not in the greatest nick and I'm unsure how easy remediation may be. You'll see it here on the forum furst if that does happen though, don't worry
