Handplanes - US Transitional - Various
Transitional handplanes were marketed around the turn of the 20th century with the advantages of the newer cast iron planes - depth adjuster, lateral adjuster etc - but with the wooden body that craftsmen were used to, and still demanded. There were plenty of manufacturers - Union, Sargent, Fulton and others. But the largest and most prolific was Stanley.
