Default Never Used Hitachi M 12SE Plunge Router

I am offering my router that I've never used since buying it brand new from Masters.
It's a 1700W single speed plunge router that comes with a fence and what you else in the photo.
At the time of purchase I swapped the 1/2" collet for a 1/4" one as that was the size of the router bits I had at the time.
Despite that I never ended up using it anyway and it's been sitting in the box since.
If it's not going to be used then it's taking valuable space so its got to go.

My asking price is $400 plus shipping.

They're retailing for 450, so your price is definitely good. I guess no one's in the market for a router

Small crowd here, sometimes you just have to put it on gumtree or fb marketplace if you need it gone.

There’s nothing wrong with it, I’ve never had a need for it. I use router planes instead of a router. It’s in perfect new untouched condition.

Geez times must be really tough for many. I want to be rid of it not because there's something wrong with it, God forbid I would never tread down such a path, but because I truly don't need it.

Last and final offer $250 plus postage

    Two questions -

    - Is this router variable or single speed?

    - Does it come with the original collet along with the 1/4" one you put on it and if so is it a true 1/2" collet or the 12mm one that some of this brand were being sold with?

Bonus question - is this the last and final last and final offer since this is the second one?

    It's single speed

No it doesn't come with the original 1/2" collet because I swapped it out for the 1/4".
I know it was silly of me at the time, but then again I know very little about machinery since I've worked with hand tool most of my life.
I thought I would give it a try using machinery and was very frustrated with them so I sold them all except for the bandsaw.

Yes, this is my last and final offer. I feel that it is way under priced for a tool that has never been used.

Just my thoughts but although these Hitachi's are a really brilliant router, I think unfortunately without the 1/2" collet I don't see too much interest in a single speed router as powerful as this unless it was probably cheaper still, as most likely anyone buying it will want to then buy the 1/2" collet for it. These big routers really only come into their own when using 1/2" cutters, and can be somewhat cumbersome for some of the finer 1/4" detail work people would normally do with a cheap Makita 1/4" trimmer/router.

I have the older TR12 and it's still like new, they are built so well and just last!
