Hitachi p13f thicknesser - New
Selling a hitachi thicknesser. It’s brand new but out of the box. I set it up in my shed intending too use it but never have. It also comes with a metal stand that’s not assembled.
RRP on vektools.com.au is $949
I think $800 is a fair price seeing it’s never touched a piece of wood
Pick up frankston

Just an observation from the outside. I can't find much about this thickie, and suspect it's a straight blade unit. I can't see much of a comparison to the equivalent Carbatec / Hafco segmented head units that you'd have to be competing with. Given those items come up here a little more often and move on reasonably quick, and given their new price, (eg CTec Hafco) or perhaps equivalent to yours (Jet Hafco) your price expectations, even for unused - but with no warranty - might be too high.

i had seen that - there aren't details on the page that tells me if I'm comparing it to the Jet or the segmented head options... but you have to remember, people are going to look at this compared to other options they have, not just as a price drop from an RRP.

I agree with Poundy, if it's selling S/H for close to what a new helical cutter head thicknesser is, it's not very attractive regardless how good it might be. Especially when the Carbatec/H&F ones have loads of reviews and info online, but there's bugger all on the Hitachi or why it's a high priced unit.
cheers, Ian

I think the P13F might have two straight blades. Is this correct?
Edit: I’ve just answered my own question looking at the manual online - says 2 blades.
