Thread: Wanted: Horizontal Belt Sander

Not sure if you're aware but that model doesn't have the oscillate function. Not entirely necessary but the belts last longer I've found and the finish is a bit better in my opinion.

I have the Jet Oscillating one. About 10 belts too. I was giving it great thought to selling it too. I'll message you.

Getting it to you may be a challenge.....

It is, obviously, absolutely bloody fantastic. Aarggh is bang on.

Thanks. Not looking at spending a huge bucket of money as it’s not like it’s going to be used weekly at all. PM me with an approx price and we can go from there.

Not trying to flog anything, but I would suspect once you have one you'll be amazed at how much you use them, they are just invaluable.

I also have the Jet, bought it when Carbatec had the $150-200 off sale, and I use it almost daily now. And still on the original belt. Fantastic machine!

I use the sliding mitre on it a lot to square up odd shaped timber that can't be done safely on the table/mitre saw.

I hear you Ian. I’ve been making cheese boards for a friend who sells them at a market and I’ve been using the 100mm belt sander to do the edges, but it’d be so much better to use a dedicated machine
