Default INDUX IMF-24 3 phase Shaker Dust Extractor

    This dust extractor is 2760 h x 1210 w x 800 d.
    5300 cubic meters per hour
    5.5 H.P.
    Inlet approx 220mm
    Bin, 500 h x 490 diameter.
    Both motors Italian
Doors have rubber seals, and motor section lined with foam for acoustics.

This is an ideal machine for fine dust. Band saw, table saw, sanding machines etc.
Less ideal for high volume chips from jointers, thickners etc. INDUX can provide a SCF70 cyclone as pre-separator, but I can not fit this in my workshop and Strata doesn't allow me to place a machine outside.

I picked it up before I started to change use of workshop, where I am now more focused on processing reclaimed timbers on upgraded 3 phase jointer and thicknesser.

This machine is designed for indoor or outdoor use. For outdoor use, a cowl would need to be added to the top.

When I moved it to site, I dismantled and cleaned, and installed 24 new filters from INDUX for $1,639. They rate the filters for a 10 years usage and also said "You can expect 99% collection by weight at 1µm particle size from the polyester felt filters you have purchased from us. Kind regards, Rowan Vidler".
I had an electrician wire it up and test, and will leave in place hardwired in case you wish to observe operating.

I had not got as far as acquiring ducting, realizing I need to look for something better suited for high volume chip production, and preferably mobile so easy to move to next workshop.

New versions of these cost close to $20,000

Asking price with new filters, $4,700

Hi there. I was wondering why this machine is not suited to thicknessers? Is it just the small bin size? And also can this be dismantled to more manageable parts? I don't have access to a forklift so I would have to build it in place.

    Thanks

For me it is about bin size, as I have mostly salvaged old hardwoods, and nothing is straight, so I produce alot of chips before I get started on anything.
Yes can be dismantled. Thats how I got it to where it is, and did a full clean and reseal. Takes a long time, there are a lot of bolts, like mechano. Silicon sealer between each panel for exterior use if required. It will handle thicknesser material, but I found on my mobile 2Hp extractor from my old 15" machines, hooked up to new thicknesser and processing a lot in the day, I easily filled 2 plastic bags, which would be the same as emptying the INDUX 4 times. Some of the new Shakers now have much bigger bins, like wheely bin.
My old mobile machine not ideal either with 5" inlet and thicknesser with 6"outlet.

Neighboring unit has forklift, and is usually happy to help out, so getting it on a truck would not be too hard. I have a mobile gantry, getting the top back on is the hardest, as it is where the heavy motor is.

    Cheers
