Default Nail Kicker (Pneumatic nail puncher/remover)

Reconnx Nail Kicker with 4mm and 6mm drivers, and spare parts kit.

    IMG_20220620_093856.jpg

    THIS THING IS BRUTAL!

I purchased this directly from the USA manufacturer a while back when I had thousand of nails to remove from pallets of flooring. It was Cypress boards on Norf Coast Hardwood Joists that were 60 years old. The joists were/are as hard as anything, which makes nail removal a very difficult task.

Not for this brute of a thing though! It got the job done sharpish. When I first tested it (in the shed) I had a piece of timber angled towards the sheet metal stand of the bench. "Phutt–DING" was confirmation that it had blown the nail clean out. Sometimes it may require 2-3 shots, just depending on the timber and the nail.

It probably has about 15-20 hours use on the clock, I suppose. The Custom Pry Bar has a wee bit of superficial surface rust which can be sanded off if required.

You can set the punch depth to either 2.5mm, 10.4mm or 22mm.

New price is USD319 + USD90 for the extra driver, and USD15 for the parts kit, which is a total of USD424, plus an arm and half a leg for freight to Oz. On Amazon.au they are AUD755 with all 4 drivers, and on Amazon.com they are USD460 with 3 drivers, delivered, which is around AUD680.

Price: $450 plus postage. The package in the pic weighs 2.884kg, so with some bubble wrap it should still sneak under 3kgs. I think it will fit in a large Post bag, and they are a little over $20 (?).

As usual, first to say "I'll take it" will be the buyer.

Hmmm. "I'll take it" at 5.53pm, a request by me for a PM with details, a PM sent by me at 6.19pm .....and....crickets for 3 hours!

Accepted protocol is to say "I'll take it" and then immediately send a PM with details.

Things can happen, such as going out for the evening (but one would say so), or perhaps an internet or power outage. However, RB was viewing this thread at 7.14pm apparently.

Not sure whether I should put it back on the market or not. If anyone else is interested you are welcome to post a secondary interest if this deal fails to materialise.

If Riverbuilder said he'll take it, then he will take it. I know there's been many times I've been out and only had a few seconds to quickly do the same with the expectation of sending a pm when back home or free to use the phone. I would definitely not expect to have to immediately pm to confirm same, especially when most of the members have pretty high post counts and an assumed reliability factor.

    My 2c anyway!

Yes, agreed, but when I see that he is viewing an attachment at something after 6pm, and then looking at something else (I think this thread) at 7.14pm then that indicates that he has been active, and thus could have sent a pm, or responded to mine. That's what throws confusion into the mix. We must also give consideration to other potential buyers who would think they have missed the boat (like quercus).

Anyhoo, I'll leave it until the a.m. to see what transpires.

Neil and I have discussed this, and we think to him give until 10:00am tomorrow which should be plenty of time for him to have seen the PM or at least the emailed message telling him he has a PM.
    Cheers

Well, apparently not, as it seems. His status on the forum has changed and he (or just his computer) is looking at another thread now, and that changed this morning. I can only assume that he is no longer interested, and at 10.00am (ten minutes from now) I will offer it to Quercus if he would still like it.

Ok quercus, all yours, but please reply with "I'll take it" to keep things straight.

DJ, what's the protocol here when someone says I'll take it and then buggers off...even though they can be seen to active on the forum viewing various threads? It's just jerking people around, causing unnecessary delays. Very poor form indeed.
